About Us

The Seattle Gaslight Inn is a family run business with my wife Joelle, myself, our two kids Jacob & Anna, our two cats Tuxie & Neo and our school of Koi fish, Bertha, Cheetah, Spot, Cali, Tiger Ink & Ghost. In addition to our menagerie, my parents Glenn and Barb are often at the Inn with their dog Stella. Stella is a fan favorite amongst the guests and always finds herself at the right place for a quick pet. We love meeting and hosting new people from all over the globe. This house is full of love and warmth, which we want to share with all of our guests. There are truly no strangers at the Seattle Gaslight.

Our Story

Like many people who visit the Gaslight for the first time, our family fell in love with the house from the moment we stepped inside. Our parents stayed at the Inn a handful of times when we lived on E. Howell St. back in 2014-2016. Both Joelle and I used to joke that one day we would buy the Gaslight if it ever came up for sale.

Well, that running joke turned into a reality in 2021 and we decided to take a giant leap of faith in purchasing the Inn. Our family moved into the Gaslight in October 2021 and re-opened the Inn on November 1st, 2021. That October we spent every waking moment either taking care of the kids or getting the Inn ready for our guests. Our vision was to keep the look and feel of the Inn as much as possible while adding our personal touch and adding new technology into the mix. We have heard from so many guests that they love the look and feel of the Inn in combination with the family atmosphere and the warmth the house provides when you first walk in. We are so honored to continue the traditions built by the previous owner, Steven Bennett and look forward to continuing the legacy of the Gaslight and its place in the community.
