Frequently Asked Questions


Here's a list of answers to the our most common questions. If you have others, give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
- Can I Check-in Early?
If you are scheduled to arrive at the house prior to the 3PM check in time this is not an issue.  If your room is ready early we can check you in when you arrive.  If the room is not ready, we are happy to store your luggage until the room is ready and check you it at that time.  

- Can I Check-Out Late?
If you are scheduled to depart from Seattle later than our 11AM check-out time, we are happy to store your luggage.  You can return to the house and grab your luggage to depart at your lesure.  

-What is your Cancellation & Refund Policy?
- 14 Days or more:  Any cancellation that is received 14 days prior to your check-in date will be refunded the entire 50% reservation deposit minus a $35 credit card processing fee.  
       
- 14 Days or less:  Any cancellation that is received 14 days or less to your check-in date will be responsible for the 50% reservation deposit.  

- 48 Hours or Less:  Any cancellation or negative modification that is received 48 hours or less to your check-in date will be responsible for the entire reservation.  


- Do you have pets?

We have two very friendly cats named Tuxie and Neo. You can find them most days curled up on the black coach near the fireplace. They loves people and will "ask" you for pets. They roam the residence and the main floor and rarely make their way up to the upper guest floors. They are indoor/outdoor cats so don't worry if they make their way outside. They come and goes as they please.  Ryan's parents dog, Stella is a guest favorite at the Inn and is here often.  She is very friendly and often can be found lounging by the green fire place or in her favorite chair by the chess table.  

- Is the Inn Pet Friendly
We do not allow guest to bring their pets to the Inn.  This policy helps us ensure that all of our guests have a comfortable, relaxing time at the inn.  

- Where can I park my car? 
If possible, we highly recommend utilizing public transportation options when planning how to arrive at the Inn. The city has zoned parking in our neighborhood which is on a first come first serve basis.  We offer guest parking permits for rent that allow for 24/7 parking on the street.

- Is the Inn a kid-friendly?
We love children however, due to the unsupervised pool and koi pond we are not accepting reservations with children.

- What part of Seattle are you Located in? 
The Seattle Gaslight Inn is located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, the real heart and soul of Seattle. We are walking distance from both downtown and the Capitol Hill lightrail station. Our cross streets are 15th Ave, between E. Howell Street and Olive Street.

- Is smoking allowed?
We do not allow smoking anywhere on the grounds. Our guests who smoke find it easiest to step out front.

- Are Illegal Activities or violence allowed?
We do not allow any form of illegal activities or violence on the grounds. This policy is strictly enforced and breaking said policy will result in you being escorted off the grounds. We ask that you be respectful of the house and the other guests while you're on site.

- What are the Quiet Hours for the Inn?
Quiet Hours are from 10:00PM to 7:30AM PST seven days a week.  You are free to come and go as you please any time day or night but we
 ask that you be respectful of the other guests while on site.

- When does Pool Open?
The heated pool is open for use from Memorial Day to Labor every year.  Pool hours during this time are from 8:00AM to 6:00PM PST. When open, the pool is open to all guests on an unlimited basis. The pool is heated to 83 degrees Fahrenheit. We provide pool towels and refreshments for the guests on a first come first serve basis. There is no life guard on duty so please use common sense and extra caution.

- Do you have roll away cots or Additional Mattresses?
We do not offer roll away cots or mattresses.  All of our rooms have firm queen mattresses and accommodate two guests.  Fire code in the city for our rooms dictates that we cannot have any more than 2 people in the room over night.  

- Are your rooms air conditioned
All of our rooms have air conditioning during the peak summer months from June to September.   We also have fans and space heaters available for your stay should you need one.

- High-speed Internet Access
We offer wireless, high speed internet throughout the house. The network name and passwords are provided in your welcome email.
